Inclusion Coordinator

Our Inclusion Coordinator works collaboratively with Management, Centre Staff, Speech and Language Therapists, Behavioural Consultants, and other Professionals to meet the daily overall developmental needs of the children here at West Ridge Childcare Centre.

The recommendations that is offered by the referring professionals is implemented into our daily program here at the Centre which benefits all the children!

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Speech and language Services (click here for their pamphlet) are provided to children from birth to entry into kindergarten with specific speech and language issues not associated with a cognitive, physical or behavioural challenge and who reside in the city of Saskatoon.

Families may request these services by speaking with their children’s educator and/or the Inclusion Coordinator here at West Ridge Childcare Centre.

Children's Mental Health Services

(0-11 years)

We provide services to children from birth to 11 years of age and their caregivers, who are experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns that may include but not limited to:

  • Aggressive/oppositional behavior

  • Anxiety

  • Attachment issues

  • Attention difficulties

  • Depression

  • Impacts of abuse

  • Non-intentional self-harm

  • Parenting difficulties

  • Social/emotional concerns

  • Suicide ideation

  • Trauma

Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program (ABCDP)

The Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program (ABCDP) is a unique place for special kids to learn and grow..

We offer diagnostic and treatment services to children 0-18 years of age, as well as support for families. Our mandate is to serve clients who display or are at significant risk for developmental, cognitive and/or physical challenges.

Using a family-centered approach, we work in partnership with parents to try to understand the specific needs of their child. We are open to receiving requests from parents and caregivers, physicians and other agencies.

The Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program (ABCDP) is a unique place for kids to learn and grow. Our programs give kids lots of room to play and lots of chances to meet new friends.

Autism Services of Saskatoon

Autism Services is a Saskatoon-based, charitable organization dedicated to providing advocacy, support, education, recreational, and social and residential programs and services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Any family having an individual with characteristics or a diagnosis of autism, or any other disorder on the Autism Spectrum, may qualify for service.
